Jetlagged but happy, I'm back from France after a wonderful week of music, food, and dancing in Brittany, culminating in a concert in a 14th Century Chateau!  Then it was on to Paris for more food, sightseeing, food, wine and food.  Incredibly I did not gain weight, proving that a diet of confit de canard, full-fat cheese, croissants, baguettes, crepes, and red wine is good for the soul and not too bad for the waistline.


Now back to serious work - take a look at the calendar dates for upcoming events.  Watch for an announcement later this month about the release of "Because We Care", a CD of spoken word by Rev. Barry Moyer with harp music in the background.  And of course there is World Tai Chi day on Saturday, April 24th when we will join in with the traditional 10 AM practice.


I am unloading the camera, and hope to have my photo page updated within a few days to include photos from the French trip.  I have also (finally) been shamed into starting a Facebook page, so bear with me as I try to keep up with that.  Finally, watch for a newsletter.....any day now!

]]> http://betsychapman.com/news.html#23 Sat, 03 Apr 2010 00:00:00 -0700 Harpist/Tai Chi Instructor - Betsy Scott Chapman - News Happy 2010! http://betsychapman.com/news.html#22 Time seems to be flying, and although it is 23 degrees out I am already looking ahead to warmer days!  Check the calendar for new dates, and some exciting Tai Chi classes about to begin.  The harps will come out more once the weather warms up a little, but in the meantime I will continue changing strings and tuning, tuning, tuning.  I am also happy to report that "Because We Care", a CD of spoken word and harp music, has been recorded and is in the throes of production.  I had a wonderful time working with Rev. Barry Moyer of Caring Hospice, and I hope you will like the results as much as we do.  Now it is on to the long-promised "Winter" CD, which might actually be ready for Winter 2011. Better late than never!
